Welcome to the Acid Lounge, this is a dedicated Winmx help and MXpie patch help and community site. It is designed to assist users to get their Winmx connected and working, we intend to update this site with the latest developments from the MXpie pie team and Winmx community as a whole, keep an eye on the forum for the latest news.
Many of the users likely to use this resource have vast experience using Winmx and associated clients and tools, and are happy to offer advice and help, please visit the forum if you need further assistance.
Ever since October 2005 when the owners of Winmx, Frontcode, shut down their servers Winmx has been in a state of limbo, with no programme of development for the aging client, time has stood still. Whilst we look forward to a talented coder stepping forward to create a new client for the Winmx network, we will for now, continue to assist users get the most out of their winmx experience. This site supports the ongoing MXpie patch project, and its quest for an improved open source community winmx patch solution. Make no mistake the cartel took down the Winmx servers, the thriving and vibrant community put their own right back up, today there are a variety of users running connection caches offering improved reliability and security. Over the coming months plans are in place to further improve this situation, with new software, caches and upgrades to the patching system.
